Hello,
Welcome to the August edition of the Platinum Mix eNewsletter. We've got a special contribution to this months newsletter from Carl and Perry from Red Asylum - we're sure you're going to love this issue.
Too early to start planning your end-of-year function?
We know how it is, you have a thousand other things to worry about, and December still seems a long way off. But remember the panic last year, when October rolled up and you still hadn’t come up with a theme, never mind booked a venue? This time round, tell us what your requirements are, then relax and enjoy the party!
But the good news doesn’t stop there. Most end-of-year functions are, to be frank, a total bore. You end up with a reasonable venue, good food and plenty to drink. Nothing exciting, nothing different. But that’s not the way it has to be. By talking to us, you can turn this year’s party into something people will talk about.
And here’s the best part: a really good bash doesn’t need a humungous budget. What it needs is a really good idea. This, again, is where we come in. Whether you’ll be entertaining staff, clients and/or suppliers, we have the creative wherewithal to give you something different - at a reasonable cost.
Here are some examples that could tickle your fancy. “Right up your Alley” will, as the name implies, be held in a city alley. But this won’t be just a normal alley; cocktails will happen in what will look like a real hobo’s environment (stage dressed!); guests then move onto another section of the alley with magnificent table settings, beautiful lighting and, of course, amazing food. Or how about this one? It’s called “Drinks with Tricia”, who is one of Perth Zoo’s famous painting elephants. Your party, cocktail in hand, will first see Tricia do her creative number on a canvass at the Zoo’s Elephant Amphitheatre, and then proceed to the Rothchild Room for a sumptuous meal. The canvass will be painted in your corporate colours, and will be presented to your company to hang as a showpiece in your reception or boardroom.
Want to know more? If “Right up your Alley” isn’t, or if you don’t like elephants, just give us your requirements and we’ll come up with something that’s tailor-made for your needs.
By special contributors; Carl and Perry from Red Asylum - Thank you.
Sales and Marketing – Who’s Bringing in the Business?
There is one clear fact in B2B. That the bulk of B2B commerce requires human beings to connect with other human beings. Traditionally marketing and sales battle each other with the same convictions as Ford vs. Holden.
Marketing will stand-by their good work as an absolute driver for success in the market-place. The ones who kick open the doors, and make the brand famous. Over to sales and there will be the view that the real work is done by building relationships, and old-fashioned salesmanship.
Every company will have a different requirement on the right mix and level of importance and the fact is sales and marketing need to work hand in hand.
Looking at it from a marketing perspective, you can consider the sales force as another media tool – they deliver the message in a highly specialized way. There are strengths and weaknesses to every element of the marketing mix, and these need to be constantly balanced out when considering their effectiveness and efficiency.
Connecting sales efforts with marketing is all about finding and converting prospects. You use marketing communications to flush them out, and salespeople convert prospects to become customers. The key point is to use the right tool for the right purpose, and developing the right marketing mix for your business.
Platinum Mix can assist your business with all the marketing strategies mentioned in this, and subsequent eNewsletters. So if your business requires any marketing assistance, call us today on 08 9380 6929.
